* Keratin is a type of protein with a high content of cystine, an amino acid that makes it resistant, elastic and insoluble. The smallest keratin molecules penetrate the hair cortex, improving and repairing the quality from within. Keratin fills the gaps between the cuticle and the hair shaft, thus reducing frizz and adding strength and elasticity.
